One person has lost his life while being attended to at Njoro Health Center after the ongoing tribal clashes at Nessuit in Njoro Sub County escalated leading to multiple houses being torched.
Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya says four people have been seriously injured using bows and arrows where two were treated at Njoro Health Center and got discharged.
“One person died while being attended to at Njoro Health centre but two were treated and discaherged” he said.
According to the RC, the situation had been calmed on Wednesday evening by the deployed security personnel.
However, he was quick to note that the clashes might have escalated due to revenge missions of the Olposimoru wars in Narok/Nakuru boarders.
Natembeya has said that KFS officers were on ground to demarcate the Eastern Mau forest that is set to be rehabilitated and rumors about possible evictions might have also caused the violence.
Natembeya has also pointed out that Politics and resources might also have played part in stirring the clashes.
During the skirmishes Royal Media Services Molo-based journalist Jathan Kamau found himself cornered by the gangs who robbed him tools of trade among the Digital Audio recorder and his personal phone.
